Dual Licensure Track: LPC and LMFT

This dual licensure track requires a total of 60 credit hours, including 9 credit hours of practicum experience and 6 credit hours of approved electives. Students may increase marketability, career options, and clientele with this option. The dual licensure track also meets the 60-semester hour criteria required by many other states, making it a viable option for students seeking licensure outside of Texas.

Notes

Many states have a 60-hour coursework requirement for LPC licensure, and reciprocity does not exist between states.

Students not seeking dual licensure also have the option to complete elective courses and add distinctive elements to their declared program.
