Taking a single class is a great way to "get your feet wet" at LeTourneau! Meet other students, get to know the campus and enjoy learning about a topic that has always interested you. And, if you decide to pursue your college degree, your class may count towards your graduation requirements.

BIBL 1073 New Testament Principles
This course is a study of New Testament principles drawn from the Gospels, Acts, the New Testament letters and Revelation, and the practical application of New Testament principles to personal and professional living. (3 credits)

ENGL 1873 Written Communications I
This course is a study of the effective planning, drafting, and revising of expository writing using the personal computer. Editing skills will be reviewed and practiced. Special emphasis will be placed on writing on business related topics. (3 credits)

COMM 1873 Speech Communications
This course is an introduction to theories and methods of public speaking and group communication. The student will be exposed to the effective use of visuals in presentations.

COMM 2573 Interpersonal Communications
A course designed to develop and improve one-on-one communication skills. Emphasis is on communication theory and on the processes that foster good interpersonal relationships.

PSYC 3203 Marriage and The Family
A study of family relationships from courtship to death. Patterns of husband-wife, parent-child, and parent-youth relationships in contemporary society. A Christian view of the institution of marriage and family is given in order to provide a better understanding of how Biblical principles can be applied to practical family problems in a changing world. (3 credits)

PSYC 2573 Career and Professional Development
This course introduces students to theories of life span development and explores models of career development. It considers how these concepts can be applied to career planning and management. (3 credits)

KINE 1273 Executive Wellness
This course explores issues involved in achieving and maintaining personal wellness, including the beneficial effects of a healthy lifestyle and how to implement and live such a lifestyle. Course concepts include fitness, nutrition, stress management, and muscular and cardiovascular strength and endurance. In addition to student self-assessment, class lectures, and group activities, students will explore opportunities for integrating wellness strategies in the contemporary work environment. (3 credits)
